We're in Bangkok :) (2-8-07)

We’re in Bangkok! Praise God! We’re at an internet café down the street from the Sareeya House (our Hotel), and we would like to leave a few messages:

Gerald: We have arrived safely and are settled into the hotel in Bangkok for the first leg of the trip. We greatly appreciate the prayers that have gone up for us as the trip has been flawless up to this point. (No hang ups in airport security or in customs.)

Shannon: Good Night (Morning)!! My goodness the plane ride took forever. I am exhausted, a bit hungry, and definitely in awe. The things I’ve seen in one day have given me a lot to look forward to. So, we got through everything alright, and now the fun (work) really beings! Pictures and all to come soon! Love you guys!

Matt: Hey everyone! Ditto Shannon’s comment: Good Night / Morning. I’m glad we’re on the ground. The plane was very nice, but 17 consecutive hours of anything can wear a person out. I’m excited but still quite exhausted, so I’m going to head on to bed. We tour Bangkok tomorrow, and I look forward to it. Not only for the chance to take some time to acclimate to the new time zone but also just to see one of the biggest cities of Thailand. I love you, and I miss you.

Roy and Carol: We flew over some interesting countries and near most of the capitals along the way: Newfoundland, Labrador, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, three “-stans,” India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Thailand.

Well, everyone else was beat, and I’m sure they’ll have their say tomorrow. But keep tuned, and pray for us that when we go to serve field workers at a conference, that they would be refreshed and strengthened to continue their good (and difficult) work. Lots of love,

The Thailand Team

Hi Ron, Carol & Roy,
Glad to hear the journey so far has gone well. You are all in my prayers, I am following your updates. Can't wait to hear all that the Lord is doing in Thailand through your team, and in each of you. Give those children an extra cuddle of love from me, okay? Blessings to you all...
